We are looking for talented and design‑led Graphics Developer with motion design, broadcast graphics, and 3D animation experience to join Formula 1, who can hit the ground running and help take our production to the next level. As part of our graphics team, you will face exciting challenges, develop your skills, and help define the next era of Formula 1 broadcasting. You will be joining a dynamic team within the Content Production department, where you’ll be creating engaging and clear visual content for live and post‑produced programming for one of the world’s premier sporting brands and helping to deliver world‑class production.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Designing broadcast content from concept to delivery
- Creating motion graphics and animations for live and post‑production
- Developing visual ideas that enhance storytelling
- Supporting design projects which can range from providing assets for live broadcast, animation, to building 3D rendered features
- Designing and animating on‑screen graphics for both real‑time and post‑production
- Supporting the operation of live on‑screen, virtual and augmented, and post‑produced graphics for use in Formula 1’s live broadcasts
What Are We Looking For?
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong visual design skills, with the ability to take ideas from concept to delivery
- A clear understanding of storytelling through graphics
- Extensive knowledge of the Adobe suite with emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
- A keen understanding of visual design and an interest in researching new ideas and concepts
- A realistic approach to design ideas, particularly under tight deadlines
- Understand the testing and troubleshooting process
- Great understanding of the project process, team organisation and communication
Experience
- Experience with 3D tools (Maya, Cinema4D, Blender)
- An understanding of the 3D animation pipeline including modelling, texturing, lighting, rigging, animation & rendering.
- Exposure to real‑time or broadcast graphics systems (Vizrt, Unreal Engine)
- Experience designing broadcast content and live on‑screen graphics
- Live broadcast experience in a sports environment, particularly working in a VR/Virtual Studio pipeline
Qualifications
- A degree in design, motion graphics, or related design field
