Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with global trade regulations, including customs laws, export controls, sanctions, and embargoes.
  • Maintain trade compliance manuals, SOPs, and internal control frameworks.
  • Guide suppliers and internal teams on compliance requirements and documentation standards.
  • Monitor import/export recordkeeping, valuation, duty management, and preferential trade programs.
  • Track regulatory changes worldwide and assess their impact on the business.
  • Manage relationships with customs brokers, external counsel, and regulatory authorities.
  • Support audits, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide trade compliance input for new product introductions and supply chain changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus demonstrable experience in trade compliance or customs.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, HS classification, origin rules, and export control regimes.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and customs management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Highly detail‑oriented, structured, and able to work independently in a complex global environment.
