Job Responsibilities
- IP Protection – Identifying and securing patents, trade secrets, and other rights
- IP Portfolio Management – Optimizing the value and relevance of our assets
- Freedom-to-Operate – Assessing risks and enabling safe innovation
- IP Enforcement – Safeguarding Danfoss’ rights globally
Collaborating closely with R&D, business leaders, and external patent attorneys across regions, especially in Germany, the US, and China. This role combines deep technical insight with legal acumen and business understanding. You’ll need to see the fine details in complex inventions, while also stepping back to understand the broader strategic context.
Your Background
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Physics
- 10+ years of experience in IP, preferably including time as a patent attorney
- A strong understanding of European patent law; qualification as a European Patent Attorney (or working towards it) is a plus
- Experience working in international and multicultural environments
- Excellent English communication skills—written and spoken
