We now have an opportunity to recruit an Electrical & Electronics Engineer to join our Digital Displacement team in Edinburgh, UK, to play a key role in developing the next generation of hydraulic technology that helps customers improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and accelerate their decarbonization and electrification goals. As an Electrical & Electronics Test Engineer, you will support the design, validation, and introduction of innovative electronic products, sensors, and control systems. Your work will directly influence product performance, quality, and reliability, ensuring solutions meet the highest industry and customer standards. Working on-site alongside a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will help bring new technologies from concept through qualification and into successful customer applications.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design and validate electrical and electronic components, helping deliver reliable products for new product development projects.
- Develop test specifications and verification plans that ensure products meet international and company standards.
- Perform qualification, verification, and emissions testing, generating clear reports that support engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with systems, software, and product engineers to successfully integrate electronics into customer solutions.
- Drive improvements in test methods, standards, and verification processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience designing, developing, and testing PCBAs or electronic hardware, with a strong focus on product validation and testing.
- Knowledge of electrical components, sensors, or electronic control systems.
- Hands-on experience with one or more engineering tools such as Altium, Orcad, PADS, MATLAB, Ansys, or LTSpice.
- Ability to create technical documentation, test reports, and engineering records with a high level of accuracy.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
