To join our dynamic team to ensure final inspection, packing and despatch are undertaken in a manner which guarantees all components meet the required quality and specification requirements as desired.

The postholder must ensure that before the worksurfaces are despatched they are packed in a manner which ensures the products arrive to their destination, with the correct documentation, and in full, without damage and in a presentable form.

Summary and Purpose

To join our dynamic team to ensure final inspection, packing and despatch are undertaken in a manner which guarantees all components meet the required quality and specification requirements as desired.

The postholder must ensure that before the worksurfaces are despatched they are packed in a manner which ensures the products arrive to their destination, with the correct documentation, and in full, without damage and in a presentable form.

This process should be carried out accurately (within defined company tolerances) and as efficiently as possible whilst ensuring machines and working areas are maintained to the highest possible standard as defined in the relevant SOP(s) within the department.

As quality inspection and despatch may not always be a full‑time task, the postholder is expected to assist in the factory during the course of the day in a general operative role that will enable the production team to work effectively and efficiently.

The postholder must facilitate change by promoting and enforcing continuous improvement activity within the team and provide support for other areas of production where necessary ensuring all H&S protocols are adhered to at all times.

  • To gain an understanding of current material types involved.
  • Familiarise themselves with all cleaning sealing products required to perform the desired processes.
  • Gain knowledge of our manufacturing tolerances and specifications.
  • Gain knowledge around our quality standards and adhere to them.
  • Have a full understanding around H&S within the area and required PPE.
  • Confident in Excel spreadsheet completion for daily KPI capture.
  • All non‑conforming issues to be recorded by means of SMR procedure and reported to supervision.
  • Be involved with the Internal Supplier/customer regarding any quality issues received or produced.
  • All housekeeping duties are completed along with daily maintenance check sheets (PPM).
  • Main Responsibilities
  • To ensure all components meet the required quality visual and dimensional standards prior to leaving site, whilst making provisions to ensure orders hit OTIF targets.
  • To complete & prioritise the main despatch boards on a daily basis to correspond with the Worksurfaces diary collection plan.
  • Ensuring correct despatch documents are populated for corresponding product to be shipped and displayed with the job to be identified at hub collections.
  • All products are packed and handled in an acceptable manner which eliminates the possibility of breakage during loading and transit.
  • The ability to follow SOPs with relevant risk assessments to carry out daily tasks in a safe manner, any variation to be reported to supervision for review.
  • All non‑conforming product to manufacturing tolerance to be reported to supervision and captured by means of SMR so root cause analysis can be determined.
  • To ensure that equipment and plant are maintained to a level which guarantees maximum up‑time and that the work area conforms to the company’s requirements for Health and Safety (Including COSHH) and general presentation.
  • All production jobs to be documented by means of departmental KPI data capture around performance associated with OTD and RFT in the area.
  • To assist your team with controlling the supplies of consumables in order to prevent stock‑outs and liaising with onsite suppliers where applicable.
  • Carry out other tasks and duties as required.

Working hours: Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:30 & Friday 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 20:00
