As a Warehouse Team Leader at our Newton Aycliffe location, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are fulfilled to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and processing incoming orders
- Managing stock inventory and reporting shortages
- Picking and packing orders according to customer specifications
- Loading goods for dispatch
- Maintaining accurate records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Upholding health and safety regulations at all times
Our Warehouse Team Leaders play a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. In this position, you’ll lead a team responsible for the fast-paced receiving, picking, and packing of products, while promoting a “right first time” approach to every task.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising daily warehouse operations
- Ensuring accurate and timely order fulfilment
- Maintaining precise inventory records
- Promoting a culture of quality and attention to detail
- Supporting manual handling tasks, including lifting products by hand
Full training will be provided, and while some physical work is involved, we’ll ensure you’re equipped with the skills and support needed to succeed.
Immediate Priorities:
- Receiving & Storing Products – Unload deliveries from suppliers using manual handling equipment such as forklifts and pump trucks.
- Goods Inspection & Storage – Verify deliveries against accompanying documentation and promptly report any discrepancies.
- Order Picking – Accurately select items from shelves using handheld scanners or voice‑directed systems, ensuring correct fulfilment.
- Packing Orders – Securely and precisely pack items to maintain product integrity and deliver outstanding customer quality.

Goods Inward – Inspect incoming deliveries to ensure materials meet quality standards and match order specifications.
Loading & Unloading – Safely handle products using manual handling equipment.
Stock Organisation – Arrange inventory efficiently to support smooth operations.
Order Fulfilment – Accurately pick, pack, and wrap items to meet customer specifications.
Inventory Management – Replenish stock and record all movements accurately.
Technology Use – Experience with voice picking systems or RDT devices is desirable.
PC Skills – Use computers for paperwork creation and stock enquiries.
General Duties – Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the work area.
