Summary and Purpose: Life Kitchens are seeking to recruit a general operative for their manufacturing site in Newton Aycliffe. The successful candidate will pack components and quality check each order, ensuring all components are accounted for and palletised, before completing the despatching process. The postholder will build internal customer supplier relationships to fully understand what is required at each stage of the process.
Main Responsibilities:
- Quality checking, unloading and packaging of product
- Ensuring jobs are completed & delivered on time and in full and in line with the factory production plan by ensuring deliveries are made on time and in full.
- Assisting in the manufacture of panels and cabinets in line with production plan requirements when required
- Ensure the department’s activities are conducted in accordance with the Company's published policies and procedures.
- Undertake any other duties as requested.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience of working in a similar role
- Ability to read drawings and identify potential quality related issues
- Ability to fault find and problem solve
- Ability to lift panels and other products
- Excellent organisation skills
- Ability to own and develop work areas
- Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement skills
Desirable Requirements:
- FLT Licence
- Computer literate
- Ability to identify improvement initiatives
- Experience in manufacture / build of KBB industry products
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 07.30hrs – 15.30hrs (including a 30‑minute break)
