The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are looking for a Salaried GP to join our team for 4 sessions per week (Thursdays & Fridays). This role offers a balanced working week with opportunities to focus on clinical care while participating in teaching activities if desired.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide comprehensive care to our diverse patient population
  • Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations, home visits, and manage clinical correspondence
  • Prescribe safely in accordance with our practice formulary
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records
  • Support and mentor medical students as part of their clinical experience

You will work collaboratively with the wider team and make professional, autonomous decisions in patient care.

Danescourt & Greenmount Surgery is a friendly, supportive practice serving patients across two sites in Cardiff. Our team of clinicians and support staff work closely to provide high-quality, patient-centred care. We also support medical students, offering opportunities for observation and learning.

Terms

  • Hours: 4 sessions/week Thursdays & Fridays
  • Contract: 12 month with option for permanent position thereafter
  • Employer: Danescourt & Greenmount Surgery (not Cardiff & Vale UHB)

Person Specification

  • Fully GMC registered with licence to practise
  • Inclusion on the Cardiff & Vale UHB GP Performers List
  • Membership of medical indemnity cover organisation
  • Inclusion on GP Register
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to high-quality patient care and professional development
  • A Full UK Driving Licence
  • MRCGP qualification or equivalent
  • Experience with EMIS Web or other primary care IT systems
  • Interest in clinical audit, service improvement or long-term condition management
