The firm is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join its central Risk & Compliance function. This is a key role providing day‑to‑day oversight, advisory support, and risk management across the firm’s core regulatory and professional obligations.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) - Oversight of client/matter risk assessments, source‑of‑funds checks, and ongoing monitoring.
- Sanctions Compliance - Screening, escalation management, and ensuring the firm meets UK sanctions obligations.
- Know Your Client (KYC) - Ensuring robust onboarding processes, enhanced due diligence where required, and quality assurance of KYC documentation.
Core Duties
- Providing day‑to‑day advice to partners and fee‑earners on AML, sanctions, conflicts, and regulatory queries.
- Reviewing high‑risk matters and escalating issues appropriately.
- Maintaining and enhancing risk and compliance policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Delivering training and awareness sessions across the firm.
- Supporting internal audits, file reviews, and quality assurance activity.
