Working pattern: Hybrid (3 days per week in the London office)

The firm is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join its central Risk & Compliance function. This is a key role providing day‑to‑day oversight, advisory support, and risk management across the firm’s core regulatory and professional obligations.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) - Oversight of client/matter risk assessments, source‑of‑funds checks, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Sanctions Compliance - Screening, escalation management, and ensuring the firm meets UK sanctions obligations.
  • Know Your Client (KYC) - Ensuring robust onboarding processes, enhanced due diligence where required, and quality assurance of KYC documentation.

Core Duties

  • Providing day‑to‑day advice to partners and fee‑earners on AML, sanctions, conflicts, and regulatory queries.
  • Reviewing high‑risk matters and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Maintaining and enhancing risk and compliance policies, procedures, and guidance.
  • Delivering training and awareness sessions across the firm.
  • Supporting internal audits, file reviews, and quality assurance activity.
  • Contributing to the firm’s wider risk strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking someone with:

  • Law‑firm risk & compliance experience (essential).
  • Strong working knowledge of AML, sanctions, and SRA regulatory requirements.
