This is a key role within a growing legal function, offering exposure to high‑value strategic projects and the opportunity to influence how the business manages technology‑driven change.The RoleThe successful candidate will provide legal support across a broad portfolio of technology and commercial matters, including:Drafting, negotiating and advising on technology, SaaS, cloud, software licensing and digital services agreementsLeading on outsourcing arrangements, including regulatory considerations, supplier governance and ongoing risk managementSupporting major transformation, automation and data‑driven initiatives across the businessAdvising stakeholders on contractual risk, regulatory obligations, operational resilience and supplier oversightWorking closely with procurement, risk, compliance, IT and business teams to ensure contracts align with commercial objectives and regulatory expectationsManaging external counsel where required and contributing to continuous improvement of internal contracting processesAbout YouWe are seeking a commercially minded lawyer with strong experience in technology contracting and outsourcing, ideally gained within financial services or another regulated sector. You will bring:Solid background in commercial technology, outsourcing and supplier contractsStrong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to outsourcing and third‑party risk (e.g., FCA/PRA expectations)Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders and translate legal issues into clear, practical adviceA proactive, collaborative approach and confidence managing complex, multi‑party negotiations
