About The Role

Dandy is hiring an experienced HR professional to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company and help lead HR for our global expansion. In this role you will be a foundational member of the team, building out HR infrastructure as Dandy establishes new sites and entities internationally. This person will work closely with GMs and other internal functions to ensure employees across Dandy's global sites have a seamless experience with People systems and processes. This role requires flexibility to travel and spend time onsite at new expansion locations as needed.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Leadership & Culture
    • Support Dandy HR strategic actions & planning for global expansion locations
    • Serve as an HR point of contact for new international/global expansion sites, and primary POC in Europe
    • Serve as the frontline point of contact for expansion geo employees, addressing HR-related questions and resolving issues
  • HR Operations, Policy & Compliance
    • Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts, employee handbook revisions, and employee communications, tailored to local/country requirements
    • Create, iterate, and own HR policies and procedures for each new site or country
    • Ensure legal compliance in HR-related issues across multiple jurisdictions
    • Streamline existing administrative operations (employee records, internal databases) across expansion geographies
  • Partnerships & People Management
    • Partner with local site leadership and cross-functional departments to build and improve People processes and projects in new markets
    • Coordinate with internal (e.g. recruiting) and external (e.g. insurance vendors, EOR/PEO partners) parties to stand up HR operations in new markets
    • Assist payroll by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, parental leave, etc.) across geographies

What We're Looking For

  • 5-10 years experience as an HR Generalist, HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or similar position
  • Experience leading the HR function for global/international expansion, including standing up HR operations in new countries or sites
  • Ability to build rapport and serve as a trusted partner to site leadership and employees across cultures and geographies; influence and drive HR strategic actions and inclusive culture
  • Experience implementing and enforcing HR policies and processes across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience managing HR investigations and leading Employee Relations actions
  • Proficiency in GSuite and HR software programs
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant legal regulations
