We are seeking a skilled Customer Care Technician to carry out high-quality remedial and maintenance works within newly completed homes across the Isle of Man. You will be responsible for carrying out remedial and maintenance works in occupied new homes, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and to a high standard. The role is critical to delivering excellent customer satisfaction, protecting the company’s reputation, and ensuring homes meet quality and warranty standards.

What you will be doing

  • Carry out snagging, remedial, and maintenance works in occupied and newly completed homes.
  • Diagnose and rectify defects across a range of trades, including basic carpentry, joinery, plumbing, and finishing works.
  • Respond to customer care issues within agreed service levels and appointment times.
  • Liaise professionally with homeowners, explaining works clearly and managing expectations.
  • Work closely with Customer Care Coordinators to plan and prioritise works.
  • Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in line with warranty requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of works completed, materials used, and follow-on actions required.
  • Identify defects requiring specialist subcontractor involvement and escalate where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Maintain tools, materials, and company vehicle in a safe and presentable condition.
  • Support inspections and quality checks where required.
  • Promote a positive company image through professional conduct and workmanship.

What you will have

  • Proven experience as a Customer Care Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Multi-skilled Tradesperson, ideally within housebuilding or residential construction.
  • Strong practical skills across multiple trades.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads effectively.
  • High standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of new-build defects, warranty standards, and snagging processes.
  • Full IOM driving licence - Full Driving License is essential to be considered.
  • Relevant trade qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
