Our North Home Counties region based in Winterhill, Milton Keynes is going from strength to strength and we are looking for a Commercial Administrator to join the team in a brand new role.
You will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Commercial department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of day-to-day activities. The role is key to supporting managers and teams with organisation, coordination, and accurate record keeping, enabling the department to operate effectively and meet its objectives.
What you will do
- Provide essential support to the Quantity Surveying, Customer Care and Buying teams, ensuring systems, documentation, and reporting remain accurate, compliant, and audit-ready.
- Raising and issuing purchase orders in line with company procedures.
- Maintaining procurement schedules, order trackers, and requisition logs.
- Compiling and issuing subcontract documentation packs.
- Supporting tender enquiries and collating subcontractor returns.
- Monitoring aged orders, outstanding invoices, and payment queries.
- Producing weekly and monthly commercial reports.
- Maintaining KPI trackers, accrual schedules, and final account records.
- Managing retention schedules and contra charges.
- Monitoring subcontractor insurances, H&S documentation, and compliance records.
- Maintaining commercial filing systems and document control processes.
- Supporting plant hire tracking and site commercial records.
- Providing general office and administrative support, including inbox management and reception cover.
What you will have
- Experienced in a property, construction, or commercial administrative role (preferred).
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Calm and professional in a busy environment.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Equipped with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused and confident handling queries and challenging situations.
