We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Commercial Administrator to join our growing team and provide essential support to the Commercial function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the heart of a busy department.

Working closely with the Commercial team and wider business functions, you'll play a key role in ensuring commercial processes run smoothly while supporting the successful delivery of our residential developments. As Commercial Administrator, you'll provide comprehensive administrative support across procurement, subcontractor management, reporting and office administration, helping the team operate efficiently and effectively.

What you will do:

  • Raise and issue purchase orders in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain procurement schedules, order trackers and requisition logs.
  • Compile and issue subcontract documentation packs.
  • Support tender enquiries and collate subcontractor returns.
  • Monitor aged orders, outstanding invoices and payment queries.
  • Provide administrative support to the Commercial team and senior stakeholders.
  • Assist with financial reporting systems, including debt reports, cost accounts and month-end reporting.
  • Maintain both electronic and manual filing systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Print, scan and distribute documentation as required.
  • Support incoming calls and provide reception cover when required.
  • Ensure office systems and procedures are maintained efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and update the regional training matrix.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Act as a central point of contact for administrative processes within the department.
  • Support wider business objectives through effective organisation, coordination and record keeping.

About You:

  • Previous administration experience within a commercial, construction, property or professional services environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional and approachable with excellent customer service skills.
  • Calm and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
