Job Summary
Dance&Arts LTD is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and engaging Musical Theatre & Drama Afterschool Club Instructor to lead a fun and confidence-building weekly club for Key Stage 1 pupils. This club introduces young children to the exciting world of performing arts through singing, acting, movement, and imaginative play, helping to develop confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and self-expression in a supportive and energetic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging, age-appropriate musical theatre and drama sessions
- Teach basic acting skills, character work, and simple choreography
- Incorporate singing, movement, and storytelling activities
- Encourage confidence, creativity, and active participation
- Maintain a safe, positive, and well-managed class environment
- Adapt activities to suit varying confidence and ability levels
Experience and Skills
- Experience working with children ages 6–7
- Background in musical theatre, drama, performing arts, or related field
- Strong class management and clear communication skills
- Energetic, encouraging, and creative teaching style
- Enhanced DBS Requirement: Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one (guidelines provided)
