This is a critical role within our team, responsible for taking complex aerospace projects from initial drawings through to finished, high-precision components.
You will be working with state-of-the-art Doosan 4 and 5-axis machines and will be responsible for both offline and online programming. As a senior member of the shop floor, you will play a key role in mentoring our existing team and ensuring our reputation for quality remains world-class.
Key Responsibilities:

- Set and operate Doosan machining centres with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.
- Interpret technical drawings and work to tight aerospace tolerances (AS9100 standards).
- Design and develop bespoke tooling and work-holding solutions for new projects.
- Provide technical leadership on the shop floor, troubleshooting issues and supporting junior machinists.
- Manage program documentation and ensure all digital assets are correctly archived on the company server.
- Collaborate with management on job planning, capacity reviews, and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in CNC 5-axis simultaneous programming and setting.
- Strong background in precision engineering, ideally within the aerospace, medical, or motorsport sectors.
- Proficiency with Fanuc (31i-B) and Heidenhain (TNC 640) control systems.
