The Senior Service Parts Planner for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders to plan and optimize our field service inventory in our Europe region. In this role, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement activities and standardization of our service parts planning processes. This position reports to the Director, Global Service Operations and is part of the Global Service Team and will be fully remote, based in Europe.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage service inventory and optimize target levels through setting and maintaining planning parameters in the ERP system, leveraging our service parts planning tools.
- Develop and continuously improve processes, standard work, and work instructions related to service parts planning and field inventory management.
- Partner with our Field Service Teams to align our inventory strategy with our customer strategy.
- Identify opportunities and coordinate parts movements across the global distribution network and serve as a central point of contact for collaboration between the supply chain and service teams.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), problem solve misses to goal, and implement countermeasures to close the gap.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Experience working in ERP/MRP/DRP
- Expertise in inventory management and materials planning to maintain optimal stock levels and meet customer demand
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate issues, and propose solutions.
- DBS or Lean Experience Required with demonstrated “Hands On” Experience of implementing lean tools at Gemba – Standard work, Kanban, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, Structured Problem Solving.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 10% both domestic and internationally
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Project Management: Experience in managing supply chain projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring, to ensure timely and efficient delivery
- Experience working in Oracle
