Forming part of the Biotechnology segment at Danaher, we bring together dedicated technical expertise and talent to develop the next generation of life-changing therapeutics. The Undergraduate Laboratory R&D scientist Placement for Cytiva is responsible for testing support for the development and innovation of new Laboratory products. This position is part of the R&D Discovery located in Harbourgate, Portsmouth, UK and will be onsite. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Executing protocols/testing in Biochemistry (protein analysis), Molecular Biology (DNA / RNA extraction), Microbiology (cell cultures), to characterise Cytiva Life Science products
  • Troubleshooting protocols as necessary
  • Generating and interpreting data to assign tasks for projects
  • Writing technical reports and presentations
  • Compliance with H&S requirements

Who you are:

  • Undergraduate, currently in the process of obtaining, a minimum of a BSc in Biochemistry (or related Scientific discipline)
  • It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in Biochemistry
  • Work in Lab environment
