The Senior Scientist - Product Quality R&D is responsible for overseeing multiple cross-functional business processes that ensure only the highest quality products reach our customers. This position reports to the Head of Product Quality and is part of Validation and Technical Quality, R&D, located in Cambridge, UK and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage cross-functional processes and work closely with varied stakeholders, within & outside of R&D, to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.
- Influence quality practices within our global product development pipelines to ensure delivery of products that meet customer needs.
- Provide expertise and guidance, leading a culture of continuous improvement leveraging Danaher Business Systems and setting expectations for high performance across the organization.
- Work through others, including a direct line-report.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- A PhD in Life sciences with at least 8-10 years of technical experience in a cell/molecular biology related field with expertise in the development or application of antibodies, ideally in industry.
- In-depth knowledge of product design and development best practices, processes and documentation, ideally from working in a regulated R&D environment (minimum ISO 9001).
- Process and data-oriented mind-set with project management experience, evidenced by cross-functional delivery of impactful projects.
- Highly motivated, with a creative and forward-thinking attitude to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Able to work autonomously to achieve results.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Hands-on experience in variety of antibody-based techniques including IHC, ChIP, ELISA, IF/ICC, flow cytometry, western blot, etc.
- Experience in antibody development work-flows.
