The Senior Scientist - MSAT is responsible for acting as a primary point of contact for technical inquiries from Cytiva’s biopharmaceutical customers. In this role, you will provide high-quality scientific support and guidance on the use of Cytiva filtration and separation technologies in customer processes. This position reports to the Senior Manager - MSAT and is part of the MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) team working remotely to cover the eastern USA and Canada.
What you will do:
- In coordination with commercial and technical colleagues, you will use your expertise and training to support customer success with Cytiva filtration products.
- You will interact with customers to educate them on the use of Cytiva bioprocessing technologies.
- You will perform and report on scientific application studies in customer processes from bench-scale to manufacturing-scale.
- You will provide guidance on process optimization, troubleshooting and scale-up.
- You will use your knowledge of customer needs to help guide Cytiva’s new product development programs.
Who you are:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in a natural science or chemical engineering.
- You have 4+ years’ experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, ideally in PD (process development) or MSAT.
- You have a practical aptitude for performing bench-scale scientific studies and are adept at writing technical reports.
- You have demonstrable expertise in bioprocessing and GMP manufacturing.
- You have experience delivering technical training and presenting scientific material in group settings.
