The Senior Ethics & Compliance Manager, EMEA, is responsible for developing, fostering, and sustaining a sound Integrity and Compliance culture as well as for leading, embedding and strengthening the Compliance Program. This role is responsible for implementing an effective Compliance Program designed to ensure compliance with anti-corruption and other compliance laws, regulations, and industry best practices, to promote ethical and appropriate behaviour among employees and to prevent and detect misconduct. This role will be the primary compliance advisor for Pall in the EMEA region.
This position reports to the Global Compliance Director and is part of the Life Sciences Platform and extended Pall Legal and Compliance team and will be fully remote in the EMEA region.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Review and advise on business activities and strategies and support implementation of Compliance systems, processes and controls.
- Modify, update, and implement Compliance policies and procedures, and design and conduct ongoing Compliance training for associates.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop risk management strategies and implement internal design controls to mitigate business risks, including third party/distributor risk management.
- Conduct regular compliance auditing and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of compliance systems, processes, and controls, and implement any required remedial actions.
- Promote Danaher’s Code of Conduct, core values, Speak Up program, and conduct investigations and oversee implementation of related corrective actions.
- Partner with the Life Sciences Platform Privacy Lead and the Global Compliance Director to support the implementation and maintenance of the Pall privacy program.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 5+ years of Compliance experience in the relevant risk areas within the life science/healthcare industries, or a similarly highly regulated industry.
- B.A. or B.S. or similar university degree required.
- Business minded, risk conscious, proactive, solutions-oriented, and self-motivated professional, able to explain complex compliance points to the business; able to take business managers’ concerns and demands into account in how best to develop and execute compliance strategies.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with a wide variety of audiences. Fluency in English and preferably fluency in other language(s) spoken in the EMEA region.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Willingness to travel (~10%) and to visit sites within the region on a regular basis.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- 7+ years of Compliance experience in the relevant risk areas within the life science/healthcare industries, or a similarly highly regulated industry.
- CCEP-I or similar compliance or risk management certification; CIPP/E certification.
- In-depth knowledge of GDPR and hands-on experience in data protection, particularly in developing and implementing a privacy program.
