The Human Resources Manager (HR) plays a meaningful role in shaping the employee experience at our Redruth facility and is responsible for partnering with associates and leaders during moments that matter. This role brings policies and processes to life through thoughtful local execution, trusted guidance, and practical problem‑solving.
You’ll support associates and managers through complex, non‑standard, or higher‑risk HR situations that require sound judgment and a people‑first approach. These interactions go beyond process; they are opportunities to provide clarity, reassurance, and solutions that help people move forward with confidence.
In addition, the HR Manager contributes to continuously improving how we work by strengthening processes, supporting policy harmonization, and sharing expertise across the HR operating model. As a subject‑matter expert, you’ll help ensure fair and consistent application of policy while delivering a positive, high‑quality employee experience. This position reports to the Human Resources Director, Aerospace, and is part of the Pall Aerospace Human Resources Team. This is an on-site role based in Redruth, Cornwall, UK. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Advise, influence, and guide all levels of management on HR implications of business strategies and all aspects of people management and leadership.
- Work closely with the people leaders on their professional development and of critical organizational needs such as talent acquisition, compliance, engagement, and scaling business and leadership capabilities.
- Partner closely with leadership and Talent Acquisition in sourcing, selecting, and onboarding key diverse talent to continue to build out organizational capability and enable stronger talent bench and funnel for further development and growth.
- Consult with leaders regarding talent management, succession planning and supporting talent actions that drive both personal/professional development (through robust development planning) of associates for continued career growth.
- Champion the Danaher Business System (DBS) through driving the organizational culture that encompasses continuous improvement and policy deployment of strategic initiatives, hiring top talent and ensuring associates are on-boarded and have the right level of immersion, training, and development on lean, growth, and leadership DBS tools.
- Provide guidance and act as point of escalation on elevated human resources or labor issues by helping conduct investigations of complex complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications/exposure; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals, and facilitate appropriate action based on established practices.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- In-depth understanding of UK Employment Law and Practices, with broad experience of managing investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and appeals at multiple levels in an organisation.
- CIPD Qualified or equivalent with HR Generalist or Manager experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Significant experience in HR operations, shared services, employee relations support, or a relevant HR specialty area.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset and demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex HR issues using sound judgment and documented policy guidance.
- Strong proficiency in HRIS and case management tools; able to navigate cross-functional systems and data to resolve issues.
- Willingness to travel (~10%).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in change management.
