The R&D Scientist is responsible for generating data for the development and innovation of new Laboratory products. This is a 13-month FTC. This position reports to the Principal Scientist/Lab Manager and is part of the R&D Discovery team located in Harbourgate, Portsmouth, UK and will be an onsite role.

What you will do:

  • Executing protocols & testing in Biochemistry (protein analysis), Molecular Biology (DNA / extraction), Microbiology (cell cultures) to characterize Cytiva Life Science products
  • Troubleshooting protocols as necessary
  • Generating and interpreting data to assign tasks for projects
  • Writing technical reports and presentations
  • Compliance with H&S requirements

Who you are:

  • BSc in Biochemistry (or related Scientific discipline) & 0-2 years' Experience
