The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading engineering projects and project activities that enhance manufacturing capabilities. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is located in Ilfracombe. This position will be an on-site role.
What you’ll do:
- Lead engineering projects and project activities that enhance manufacturing capabilities through upgraded or new equipment, following process qualification such as IQOQPQ validation methods.
- Provide ownership and input into structured problem solving activities within established project engineering team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams; Operations, Manufacturing Engineering/Product Engineering and Quality, to identify and deliver engineering solutions.
- Research and learn processes, tools and technologies to deliver engineering project objectives.
Who you are:
- Proven experience working within an engineering project environment and demonstrable knowledge of project management techniques.
- Proactive and enthusiastic with experience utilising structured problem solving tools (DMAIC, PSP etc) to translate complex technical problems into actionable plans.
- Good communication skills to articulate technical and project problems, giving clear updates to project stakeholders.
- Previously worked within regulated environment (i.e GMP) and of owning change control activity including process risk assessment (dFMEA/pFMEA or other tool).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Expertise in a technical discipline within engineering (e.g fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, polymer science).
- Design for manufacture and CAD.
