The Director, Commercial Analytics is responsible for leading the strategy and delivery of commercial analytics that translate data into actionable insights to improve commercial performance and support revenue growth across sales, marketing, and customer-facing teams. This position reports to the Senior Director, Commercial Operations and Enablement and is part of the Commercial Excellence function within IDT; the role will be fully remote within Canada.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Set the commercial analytics vision and multi-year roadmap, aligning metrics, reporting, and insight generation to commercial growth priorities.
- Establish and run a performance management cadence with KPI definitions, targets, and executive-ready narratives that drive decisions and accountability.
- Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing analytics organization; define roles, hire and develop talent, and maintain consistent standards and ways of working.
- Own commercial data governance and a single source of truth across core datasets, including CRM, bookings, revenue, pipeline, pricing, customer, and related commercial data.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Operations leaders to frame business questions, prioritise analytics initiatives, and convert insights into measurable actions and outcomes.
- Advance forecasting and decision-support capabilities, including pipeline health, demand forecasting, segmentation, scenario modelling, territory performance, and resource allocation.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation in analytics platforms and processes to increase scalability, speed-to-insight, and adoption across the commercial organization.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years experience in commercial analytics, business intelligence, commercial strategy, or commercial operations with direct accountability for business performance insights.
- Long-standing functional experience building KPI frameworks, executive reporting, and commercial performance analytics for Sales, Marketing, Finance, or customer-facing teams.
- Advanced proficiency with SQL and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau, including experience working across multiple commercial data sources.
- Experience with CRM, ERP, finance, pipeline, bookings, revenue, pricing, or customer datasets, including metric definitions, data quality expectations, and governance controls.
- Experience with forecasting and pipeline or performance analytics, such as territory performance, pipeline health, conversion, funnel velocity, segmentation, or scenario modelling.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Life sciences, diagnostics, biotechnology, genomics, molecular diagnostics, or research tools commercial analytics experience.
- Building predictive models or advanced analytics for commercial use cases such as propensity, churn, segmentation, pricing, or next-best-action.
- Leading CRM analytics, Salesforce reporting, sales process instrumentation, data governance, or modern data platform adoption for commercial teams.
- Previous experience with Danaher or DBS methodologies preferred.

The annual salary range for this role is $130,000-$200,000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
