This position reports to the Site Director and is part of the DBS team and will be an on-site role.

As DBS Director you will lead a team in the development and execution of the DBS strategy in alignment with both the site and business objectives. An excellent communicator at all levels, you will partner with the Site Leadership team to drive cultural enablement and transformation through the deployment of continuous improvement methodologies and strategic principles.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute the organization’s DBS strategy aligned with business objectives and KPIs.
  • Lead the deployment of DBS principles, methodologies, and tools across all functions to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with senior leadership to establish strategic roadmaps and support policy deployment objectives.
  • Build organizational capability by coaching, mentoring, and developing Lean practitioners, managers, and frontline teams.
  • Drive cultural transformation by embedding continuous improvement behaviours, accountability, and problem-solving disciplines throughout the organization.
  • Ensure robust Daily Management Systems are implemented and sustained to deliver performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and other functions to achieve strategic business goals.

Who you are:

  • Degree in Engineering or Business.
  • Experienced in process improvements using lean manufacturing methodology/Lean manufacturing with a combination of project management and business process analysis.
  • Willingness to work on the shop floor and lead by example; ability to influence decision making with or without authority, facilitate groups with diverse perspectives, bring teams to agreement. High tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Communication: Interpersonal skills that build productive relationships and influence others, both within the business and across organizations. Ability to interact with all levels of the business (senior leaders to working teams), exceptionally good listening skills, able to present complex or new ideas with clarity and simplicity.
  • Teamwork: collaborate effectively with others in the spirit of common objectives.
  • Planning and Execution: Excellent project management and prioritization skills. Solid business acumen. Able to deliver results despite shifting environment.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Able to identify problems; apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause using data. Innovative and effective solution development, risk mitigation and execution. Hands-on experience with Danaher PSP process.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Danaher Business System (DBS), Toyota Production System (TPS), or equivalent Lean management systems.
