What You’ll Do
- Work within the R&D team to design, develop, and launch innovative consumable products for the biopharmaceutical market.
- Progress concepts from concept to commercial launch as part of a global multidisciplinary product development team.
- Provide technical and practical input to support design, assembly, and manufacturing; create prototypes and perform functional and performance tests.
- Document requirements in reports, mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, and validation reports; present work to internal teams, stakeholders, and externals as required.
- Select raw materials, components, manufacturing/assembly processes, and suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with product engineering, product management, sourcing, and quality teams.
- Manage simple projects or swim-lanes as needed.
- Travel occasionally, mostly within the United Kingdom.
Who You Are
- BSc or equivalent in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline; HND/HNC/apprenticeship plus significant direct work experience considered.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as healthcare.
- 3D CAD design experience.
- Knowledge of materials science.
- Use of statistical analysis techniques.
