This position is part of Radiometer and is a field-based role in the Southern Sales Team located in the Cardiff area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation, quality assurance, and user support of POCT equipment across various clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver training sessions to clinical staff on the correct use and maintenance of POCT devices, ensuring competency and compliance with protocols.
- Provide on-site first-line support for equipment faults and user errors, resolving issues promptly or escalating as necessary.
- Monitor POCT devices and results remotely using the middleware system to identify and respond to issues proactively.
- Manage stock levels of POCT consumables and reagents, ensuring timely replenishment and preventing disruption to service delivery.
- Ensure consistent monitoring and evaluation of service performance to maintain high-quality standards and promptly address any issues impacting customer satisfaction
- Act as the liaison between clinical areas and laboratory staff to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
- Ensure adherence to local policies, national guidelines, and accreditation standards (e.g., ISO 22870). Maintain accurate records of training, maintenance, and quality checks.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience working with POCT devices or in a healthcare/laboratory setting
- Strong communication skills and a confident trainer of clinical staff
- Basic understanding of device connectivity and troubleshooting
- Organised and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Must take initiative and drive tasks forward independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate middleware software
Preferred qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in biomedical science, healthcare science or relevant experience
- Prior experience with POCT/medical devices and/or middleware
- Knowledge of ISO 22870 and ISO 15189 standards
