To strengthen our team, we are looking for an Associate Field Service Engineer located in the Oxford/Buckinghamshire/Berkshire region.
Overview
The Associate Field Service Engineer is responsible for developing the knowledge and skills to support the maintenance, installation, and repair of SCIEX products at customer sites. This position works under close supervision and mentoring by a manager, regional specialist, and Senior Engineers within the territory. Tasks are performed independently as competencies are developed.
Responsibilities
- Develops knowledge of SCIEX products by completing assigned training tasks and field experience.
- Learns and develops technical skills necessary to perform high-quality maintenance and triage repair on instruments and to perform preventative maintenance and triage repair on selected products
- Accompanies experienced Field Service Engineers on installation and repair calls, and perform installation/repair calls independently as experience increases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent experience
Additional Requirements & Competencies
- Excellent communications skills and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally with customers
- Willingness to travel for multiple days at a time for customer visits and/or training
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Driving license is essential
- Computer literate in Windows and MS Office
