The HR Business Partner is responsible for business partnering with our first line managers, leading the business response to both absence and ER cases as well as managing an array of projects that support our site and help to drive our business forward. This position reports to the Senior HR Business Partner and is part of the wider UK HR Team, this role is located in Newquay and will be an on-site role.
Who You are:
- CIPD qualified level 5 minimum
- Degree level education or time served equivalent
- At least 3 years previous Human Resources experience within a large multi-national organisation in a HR Manager / Senior HR Advisor role
- Excellent working knowledge of employment law and significant experience of supporting in disciplinary / grievance hearings up to and including dismissals
- Able to handle a varied workload, including managing project lifecycles to completion
What you will do, In conjunction with the Senior HR Business Partner:
- Pro-actively assist and advise managers on human resource issues, in accordance with employment law, best practice, policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment.
- Assist in the Growth & Development of associates by promoting the talent processes and ensuring managers are supported to coach and develop their team.
- Leading the site absence management program in line with the company absence management policy and applied consistently.
- Advise managers on absence issues, ensuring long-term corrective solutions.
- Management and upkeep of the company’s absence management system.
- The compilation of daily / weekly / monthly data as required, outlining key HR activities, trends and progress against KPI’s and site/department objectives as well as ensuring visual management displays are kept up to date where appropriate.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures are communicated appropriately; ensuring key information is passed on in an effective manner.
- Coordinate the annual Performance Appraisal Scheme for all our OBT band associates to ensure their continued development.
- Coordinate the utilisation of Wellbeing Provision including, supporting with the occupational health provision and leading wellbeing activities where required.
- Provide advice and support to associates on HR and employment matters including policy interpretation.

- Supporting change management activities as and when they occur, ensuring effective employee communication and engagement is maintained.
