We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to provide project management, hands-on execution and delivery of strategical & technical projects within the Discovery & Medical Op Co.
This shall be acheived through developing, collaborating and leading teams to achieve Op Co agreed goals on-time, within budget and demonstrating the required Performance & Quality.
This position will be located in Newquay and will be an on-site role.
What you will do
- Lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and sustain operational improvement projects, delivering on time, within budget, and achieving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity targets.
- Drive risk management and business continuity planning to minimize operational and commercial impacts while ensuring products remain compliant with manufacturing specifications and Medical QMS requirements.
- Specify, develop, purchase, and validate new equipment, processes, and site changes, following Cytiva and Pall Medical change control processes where applicable.
- Own cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, waste reduction, and DBS methodologies to improve and sustain Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance.
- Build strong stakeholder partnerships, develop business cases, supervise and mentor technical/project teams, manage departmental budgets, and maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and technical engineering training standards.
Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience, with a strong technical and operational background.
- Proven hands-on experience delivering manufacturing engineering projects, driving process improvements, and managing change within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong track record of improving and sustaining manufacturing performance across Safety, Quality, and operational effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to act with urgency, deliver lasting results, collaborate effectively, use data-driven analysis, and apply structured planning to ensure successful project execution.
- Proven leadership skills to mentor and supervise project teams, while effectively managing external contractors, machine builders, and suppliers to deliver business objectives within committed timelines.
