This role involves working on a rotating shift pattern of days and evenings and is set up to support 24/7 manufacturing on site.

  • Days: 07:45am - 15:45pm
  • Evenings: 15:45pm - 23:45pm

What you'll do

  • Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, electro-pneumatic, and facilities plant equipment at a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturer.
  • Engage in continuous improvement and highlight opportunities for positive change.
  • Identify the root cause of recurring equipment failures and suggest strategies to improve overall reliability.
  • Record all engineering tasks in the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) and ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety protocols.
  • Collaborate within the various maintenance team shifts and other engineering disciplines, working closely with operations and other site functions.

Who you are

  • Sufficient electrical and mechanical skills and competency are required for this role, with a bias towards one discipline expected.
  • Minimum of a recognized national apprenticeship (Level 3) in a practical engineering discipline; HNC or HND in an engineering discipline is desired.
  • Good industrial safety knowledge and understanding of roles and responsibilities in legislation.
  • Ability to work shifts; a shift premium as a percentage bonus of base salary is rewarded to reflect this.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Manufacturing environments
  • Working within ISO Class cleanrooms
  • Experience with plant and equipment installation
