Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business; Master's degree preferred
  • Senior level operations or engineering leadership experience, ideally at Plant Manager, Director of Operations, or equivalent level, with the ability to assess business performance and key metrics from a general management perspective
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience deploying and sustaining the Danaher Business System (DBS), Lean, or Toyota Production System (TPS) in a line leadership role, including designing and executing DBS sustainability roadmaps aligned to Policy Deployment, CVDs, and KPIs
  • Strong functional leadership experience across core operations and supply chain disciplines, including manufacturing, logistics, sourcing, quality, manufacturing engineering, with exposure to improving OTD, inventory, lead time, and flow performance
  • Experience building organizational capability through training, mentoring, and facilitation, including exposure to adult learning environments, practitioner development (e.g., CP/ACP or equivalent), and the use of standard business tools (documentation, analytics, and project management)

Additional Requirements

  • Approximately 70% travel required to support on-site DBS deployment and mentoring activities
  • 10+ years of Operations or Supply Chain Leadership experience, ideally a minimum of Plant Manager / Director of Operations level or higher
  • Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a 'general manager's' point of view
  • Mastery of DBS Fundamentals and a variety of DBS Lean tools
  • Experience in deploying and coaching with impact improvements in the Danaher Materials System resulting in OTD, Inventory and lead time improvements
  • Strong functional leadership experience in operations and supply chain disciplines such as supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, manufacturing engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • Accelerate SQDC performance at mentored OpCos and sites by applying DBS tools, structured problem solving, kaizen, and change management to eliminate waste, improve flow, and achieve Policy Deployment and KPI objectives
  • Partner with OpCo and site leadership to design, execute, and sustain DBS roadmaps aligned to Policy Deployment, CVDs, KPIs, and long-term DBS sustainability, including participation in L1 and L2 PD reviews
  • Provide hands-on DBS training and mentoring at Gemba, delivering formal and informal coaching and facilitating DBS learning experiences such as DBS Leader Orientation, Bootcamps, Shingijutsu events, and targeted kaizen activities
  • Build and sustain DBS capability by promoting associate development in DBS Fundamentals and Lean tools, including evaluating and approving Certified Practitioner (CP) and Advanced Certified Practitioner (ACP) candidates
  • Serve as Process Tool Owner for select DBS tools, evolving standards through the DBSO strategy process, benchmarking best practices, and enabling enterprise learning through communities, self-help tools, and knowledge sharing
