The Biotechnology Group Total Rewards Leader is responsible for leading total rewards strategy, design, governance, and delivery across the Biotechnology Group while serving as a key contributor to the broader Danaher enterprise Total Rewards team. This role partners with Group executive leadership, operating company (OpCo) HR and rewards teams, the Biotechnology Group HR leadership team, and Danaher Corporate Total Rewards to design and deliver compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and reward talent in alignment with business priorities. This position reports to the Group Vice President of Human Resources for the Biotechnology Group and is part of the Biotechnology Group HR leadership team and the Danaher Total Rewards leadership team, located in Amersham, UK. Consideration may be given for highly competitive remote candidates in the EU.
What you’ll do
- Provide thought leadership and build the Biotechnology Group total rewards strategy, including global compensation, benefits, recognition, and rewards governance across OpCos.
- Where appropriate, work to encourage and coordinate the harmonization of benefit programs across OpCos.
- Advise Group, OpCo, HR, and business leaders on compensation and benefits policy, program design, job evaluation, market benchmarking, sales compensation, offers, promotions, global mobility, recognition, retention, and related actions.
- Lead annual compensation planning and coordinate Group-wide nomination, planning, and approval processes for Danaher corporate incentive, equity, and other centrally coordinated compensation programs.
- Partner with Danaher Corporate Total Rewards to represent Biotechnology Group priorities and deliver effective communication, training, and change management for rewards programs.
- Develop metrics and scorecards to provide actionable insights and communicate success of total rewards programs.
- Drive process excellence through use of Danaher Business System tools.
- Provide rewards expertise for HR mergers and acquisitions work, including early diligence, pre-close planning, post-signing integration planning, and post-close execution in partnership with Corporate HR M&A and OpCo deal teams.
- Coach and develop OpCo rewards teams, providing technical guidance, project leadership, stakeholder management support, and change-management direction.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Long-standing experience in global compensation and benefits, including responsibility for designing, developing, and managing rewards programs that support business outcomes.
- Experience leading a global compensation, benefits, or total rewards function (including health and welfare, retirement benefits, and global mobility) in a complex corporate or matrixed environment.
- Ability to think strategically and be hands on with operationalizing strategies. Work with a sense of urgency to deliver results.
- Works collaboratively and influences stakeholders across business, regional, and functional boundaries. Takes a consensus-building approach to solving problems.
- Deep working knowledge of salary structure design, base pay administration, job evaluation, market benchmarking, variable pay, sales compensation, and equity or long-term incentive compensation.
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-close compensation and benefits execution.
- Proficiency using compensation analytics, reporting, and spreadsheet tools to develop insights, metrics, scorecards, and recommendations for senior leadership.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Professional services or consulting experience related to compensation, benefits, or broader total rewards transformation.
- Experience applying lean or continuous improvement methods to rewards processes, program governance, or service delivery.
- Experience leading total rewards communications, executive presentations, or training for geographically dispersed HR and business audiences.
Travel requirements
Ability to travel as required to support Group, OpCo, enterprise Total Rewards, and business leadership priorities.

The annual salary range for this role is 125,000-200,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
