About the role:

As a Parcel Manager, you will lead the effective delivery of all regional parcels/programme of works within the IMR WR framework. Accountable for the end to end project management across the programme lifecycle, including responsibility for planning/enablement/resource profiling/risk & opportunity management, change control, and stakeholder engagement. Ensuring the safe and efficient compliant and on-time/on-budget delivery whilst optimising quality and commercial outcomes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full life cycle of assigned parcels: initiation, detailed planning, risk/opportunity, contract governance and change management, within local and client led systems
  • Resource planning and forecasting; define labour, plant, material requirements and co-ordinate with internal teams/stakeholders to ensure efficient and out performance of agreed productivity measures
  • Financial and commercial management; Own budget monitoring, forecasting, earned value reporting, claims/variations management and cost control measures
  • Performance management and reporting; Produce regular programme, commercial, risk & KPI reporting for senior stakeholders internally and externally
  • Develop maintain and drive the regional programme schedule, ensuring alignment with peers. Monitor progress, highlight dependencies and deliver recovery plans as required
  • Lead continuous improvement within both the planning and enablement teams. Capture lessons learnt, apply best practice and support standardisation across parcels.
  • Oversee change control; evaluate change requests, lead impact assessments (cost, programme, safety, quality) and manage approvals in accordance with contract and client processes
  • Work within the framework and governance of Safer Every Day

What we're looking for:

Qualifications:

  • Degree/HND or equivalent in project management (Essential)
  • Professional qualification (NEBOSH general, APM/PMI Certification)
  • Membership of a relevant professional body

Essential Experience:

  • Proven track record of project management working across multi-discipline programmes of work
  • Working within an alliance framework within NEC framework
  • Can demonstrate risk/opportunity registers, formal change control and client governance reporting

Essential Skills:

  • Programme and project planning skills, including critical path analysis and resource loading
  • Strong commercial acumen and can demonstrate budgeting, forecasting and contract management
  • Risk management capability with practical experience implementing mitigation plans
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills internally and externally
  • Leadership and people management; ability to motivate multi-disciplinary teams and drive performance
  • IT Literate; MS Project/Excel/Sharepoint/Powerpoint and reporting tools (Desirable)
  • Problem solving mindset, adaptable and comfortable working in complex, regulated environments (Desirable)
