We're looking for a Responsibility Assistant to join our Responsibility and Compliance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting Damson Madder's Responsibility initiatives across all product categories. You'll help ensure our products meet the brand's high standards while supporting the delivery of our environmental and social responsibility goals.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the brand's responsibility roadmap to help achieve environmental, social, and responsible sourcing objectives.
- Coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of responsibility-related data, including seasonal fibre composition and carbon footprint data, to support internal targets and annual sustainability reporting.
- Manage certification records, including GOTS, GRS, FSC, and other relevant standards, ensuring supplier certifications and supporting documentation remain valid and up to date for internal systems and wholesale partners.
- Support supplier engagement and documentation processes to improve transparency and traceability across the supply chain.
- Take ownership of trim research, development, and mapping, working alongside the Fabric & Responsibility Technologist to identify and implement more responsible trim solutions.
- Assist with wider sustainability projects, initiatives, and reporting requirements as the business continues to evolve.
Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification in Fashion, Textiles, Sustainability, or a related subject.
- Strong interest in sustainability, responsible sourcing, ethical trade, and environmental responsibility within the fashion industry.
- Up-to-date knowledge of sustainability news, legislation, and industry developments.
- Understanding of sustainability certifications and standards such as GOTS, GRS, FSC, and supply chain traceability principles.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage data accurately and maintain progress against project timelines and internal roadmaps.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and drive continuous improvement.
- Previous experience or internships within fashion, textiles, sustainability, sourcing, compliance, or a related field would be advantageous.
