Mon-Fri 08:30-17:00 We are pleased to be looking after this exciting opportunity for our long standing and highly regarded client who are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their Fluid Engineering division on a full-time, permanent basis. To be considered for this role you must have sound working knowledge of above and below ground pipework installations and associated equipment including steam and hot water boilers heat exchangers, chillers, pumps, fuel and water storage tanks. In this newly created role you will be working directly with customers operating within the public and private sectors across industrial and commercial settings where you will oversee and manage a variety of projects through to completion. The role will be based at Head Office (Ipswich outskirts – on site parking available) with travel to customer premises within the East of England region when required, therefore, a full UK driving licence will be essential. Role Outline * Manage and oversee pipework projects through to completion, maintaining communication with customers throughout. * Attend customer site meetings, understand and discuss project requirements, timescales and budget in order to provide accurate quotations and information. * Develop, nurture and maintain existing customer relationships within the fluid division. * Provide quotations and associated supporting documentation for current and new project requirements. * Assist with tender preparation for larger projects. * Provide support and guidance to customers enabling required project outcome to be achieved in line with requirements. Experience and Qualifications * Sound pipework associated mechanical engineering background – Essential (applications without required experience will unfortunately not be processed) * Mechanical/Fluid Engineering qualification or relevant experience. * Strong technical knowledge of associated mechanical pipework equipment such as hot water boilers, heat exchangers, fuel/water storage tanks, chillers and pumps. * Ability to manage project life cycle through to completion * CAD/Solidworks knowledge and ability to read and understand technical drawings – preferred. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal. * Self-motivated, organised, customer and solutions focused and an effective team player. * Due to the nature of this role a current driving licence is essential.
