PALS (Professional and Legal Services) is a medical legal agency. We are currently recruiting for a Fast Track Medical File Handler to join our fantastic Medical Department in Burscough, Ormskirk. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, the service they provide, and getting the best results for their clients.
You will take instructions from Solicitors, assisting them to obtain any medical evidence that is required regarding the client’s claim. From arranging any medical examinations and radiology, to arranging surgery, ensuring this is all done within the agreed timescales. In addition, taking calls from Solicitors and clients, ensuring that each file is progressed by taking any action required. Exercising a high level of attention to detail in ensuring all correspondence and documents contain full and accurate information.
We are looking for a proactive and organised Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping an office running smoothly, managing a busy inbox, and providing reliable day-to-day support across the business. You will be the first point of contact for enquiries sent to our info@ email address, ensuring all messages are handled promptly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and responding to enquiries received via the info@ inbox
- Processing amendments and updates on the Proclaim case management system
- Handling and processing incoming medical records
- Providing general administrative support across the office
- Handling incoming and outgoing post
- Filing, scanning and maintaining accurate records
- Preparing documents, letters and basic correspondence
- Assisting with data entry and updating internal systems
- Supporting colleagues with ad-hoc administrative tasks
About You
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role
- Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly manner
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident managing a shared inbox and prioritising tasks
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, proactive and reliable
