The Role
We're looking for a Regional Manager who's excited to bring their skills and ideas to the table. In this role, you'll be responsible for the growth and retention of brand distribution, volume and visibility in and around the South of England.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Regional Manager for Damm you will be responsible for the growth of our brand distribution and volume within your territory using a combination of existing account management and securing new business. A successful Regional Manager will be a territory expert with well-developed customer and route to market distributor relationships.
- New Business: Delivery of new business growth KPIs across Damm brand portfolio, aligned to company strategy. Identification of prospect accounts through own territory knowledge and collaboration with regional and national wholesale distributors.
- Account Management: Management of call file to develop Damm's business with existing stockists in your territory, protecting existing distribution and nurturing these accounts to deliver organic growth. Effective use of sales data to identify opportunities and threats within account base. Management of POS budget and activation opportunities to enhance brand visibility and maximise rate of sale.
- Commercial accountability: Where appropriate, you will prepare investment proposals for internal approval. Present, negotiate and secure commercial agreements with customers, both individual and multi-site operators.
- Internal Reporting: Consistent and effective use of CRM system daily to log call reports and provide relevant insight for territory management, internal reporting and Damm strategy planning.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop and manage a well-established contact strategy with wholesale distributor sales teams to be the face of Damm across your territory. Work in conjunction with internal colleagues, particularly trade marketing and category manager, to ensure alignment with strategy, effective execution of brand strategy and successful delivery of selling arguments. Combine independent working on own territory with wider Regional and Damm team engagement to support broader business goals.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience developing new business through cold calling, prospecting or by increasing sales within existing accounts.
- Knowledge of sales training techniques such as, steps of the call, negotiation, selling and objection handling.
- Results driven with track record in achieving sales targets.
- Strong presentation, listening and communication skills.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- A clear understanding of the on-trade sector desirable.
- Competent in use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable working both autonomously and within a team.
- Prepared to travel.
- Full UK Driving license.
