Senior Site Manager Location : Heathrow/London based Contract Type : Permanent Salary: £55,000pa – £60,000pa + benefits Working Format: Hybrid working 3 office and 2 home Reports to : Construction Manager / Construction Group Leader UK About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join our construction team, focusing on large and complex projects at Heathrow. As a Senior Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading construction teams through both baggage and non-baggage work packages. The role demands exceptional leadership qualities, ensuring the team is motivated, empowered, and adheres to safety and quality standards at all times. You will work within a high-performing site management structure and be responsible for driving project milestones and achieving high standards of customer excellence. Key Responsibilities Provide strong leadership, acting as a role model for the construction team by fostering an inclusive culture and encouraging collaboration. Be accountable for the safe and efficient execution of construction work, maintaining a focus on achieving zero LTI\’s and RIDDORs. Mentor and coach team members, building future leaders within the business while enhancing the team\’s capabilities. Ensure that safety is a priority on site, championing a robust safety culture. Liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction. Drive process improvements, advocating for adherence to best practices and continuous improvement. Manage and control project progress, ensuring the team meets deadlines and manages competing priorities in a pressured, time-sensitive environment. Support the Construction Group Leader by actively contributing to team mission and vision, promoting a growth mindset and development. Foster a cohesive and accountable working environment, ensuring that all roles and responsibilities are clear and executed through empowerment. Skills and Experience Required 5-10 years of experience in a leadership role, particularly in managing large teams in complex construction projects. Demonstrable experience in people leadership and development, with a proven track record of building high-performing teams. Extensive experience managing projects across all phases of the project lifecycle, from pre-construction to handover. Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and Health and Safety legislation. Experience in driving safety and quality, with a proven track record in maintaining a safe working environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. IT literate, with proficiency in MS Office and Outlook. Preferred Qualifications SMSTS Trained or equivalent. NVQ Level 5 in Strategic Management & Leadership or equivalent. NEBOSH General Certificate or higher. CSCS Black Management Card. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.
