Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team in Northampton. The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will oversee the delivery of multiple fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, clients, and subcontractors, you will provide leadership across all operational aspects of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects simultaneously.
  • Lead project teams to ensure successful delivery of contracts.
  • Monitor project programmes, budgets, quality standards, and resource allocation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Support project planning, procurement, and risk management activities.
  • Conduct site visits and regular progress reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Identify and resolve project issues effectively and proactively.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to maximise project profitability.
  • Produce regular project performance reports for senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practice across all projects.

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager, or similar within the fit-out, interiors, or construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of construction programmes, contracts, and project delivery.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Experience delivering office, retail, hospitality, or leisure fit-out projects.
  • Knowledge of JCT contracts.
  • SMSTS Qualification.
  • First Aid Qualification.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
