The Role:

As a Quality Engineer, you will act as the quality gatekeeper across mechanical and electrical installations, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and remains fully compliant, audit-ready, and defect-free throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project teams, installation contractors, consultants, and clients to oversee installation quality, resolve non-conformities, and support commissioning readiness. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on-site, solving technical challenges, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify installations meet approved designs, specifications, and industry standards
  • Conduct inspections, visual audits, and quality reviews across project sites
  • Validate benchmark mock-ups with site supervisors and contractors
  • Identify defects and non-conformities, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure all quality documentation, inspections, snag lists, and as-built records are complete and audit-ready
  • Support and execute pre-commissioning activities to ensure readiness for functional commissioning
  • Participate in final walkthroughs and defect-free handovers
  • Collaborate with engineering, commissioning, and project delivery teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and installer training needs
  • Challenge and escalation of non-compliant activities when required

  • HNC/HND in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or similar continuous improvement training
  • Experience within logistics automation, FMCG, or highly automated environments
  • Experience training or mentoring site teams
