Electrical Estimator (Construction) Gatwick Area Full-Time | Permanent Are you an experienced Electrical Estimator looking for your next challenge? We\’re seeking a talented individual based near Gatwick to join a well-established electrical construction contractor working across a wide range of commercial, industrial, and public sector projects. You\’ll play a key role in the tendering and pre-construction process, breaking down project drawings, specifications, and requirements to produce accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects ranging from small works (£1K) to major installations up to £5M. Experience using Primavera P6 for programme analysis and tender planning is essential. Key Responsibilities Analyse drawings, specifications, and scope documents to determine electrical requirements. Prepare detailed bills of quantities, take-offs, and labour and material costings. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotations. Assess project risks, constraints, and identify value-engineering opportunities. Support project teams and directors with tender submissions and budget planning. Utilise Primavera P6 to support programme development and tender timelines. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver cost-effective solutions. Stay up to date with electrical regulations, materials, and market trends. Projects You\’ll Work On Commercial and industrial new builds Fit-out and refurbishment schemes Public sector and infrastructure projects About You Based near Gatwick, with flexibility to work across the South East. Experienced in both small works and large-scale commercial installations. Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail. Proficient in Primavera P6 and confident interpreting construction programmes. Excellent understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and construction sequencing. Able to manage workloads and meet tight tender deadlines.
