About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Researcher to join our recruitment team, specialising in identifying and engaging Security Cleared (SC, DV, CTC, etc.) professionals across the UK. Working alongside a Senior Account Associate, this role is critical in supporting our efforts to source top-tier candidates for roles in defence, government, and other security-sensitive sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct proactive research to identify individuals holding active UK Security Clearances (e.g., SC, DV, CTC, NATO).
- Use a variety of tools and platforms including LinkedIn, CV databases, job boards, and networking groups to identify and source suitable candidates.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines of cleared professionals across technical, engineering, and project delivery roles.
- Collaborate with recruiters to understand role requirements and clearance levels.
- Maintain and update internal candidate tracking systems (e.g., ATS or CRM) with accurate and up-to-date candidate data.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities in the cleared talent landscape.
- Help to identify prospective new clients alongside our Commercial Team.
- Ensure all sourcing activities are conducted in line with data privacy laws and MOD/government compliance requirements.
Requirements:
- Prior experience of Research in a commercial business, ideally within a Recruitment environment, would be highly beneficial.
- Understanding of UK Security Clearance levels and the associated requirements (e.g., SC, DV), or an ability to Research and understand the various clearances that there are.
- Ability to learn and pull together Boolean search skills and familiarity with sourcing tools and platforms.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and discretion, especially when handling sensitive candidate information.
- Experience working in sectors such as defence, aerospace, cyber security, or government recruitment is desirable, OR an interest in these sectors and a desire to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with recruitment CRM or ATS systems.
- Knowledge of IR35 and UK employment regulations relating to cleared contracts or a capacity to learn.
- Prior experience working in a research position is a real plus.
For this position we are looking for the successful candidate to work a minimum of 3 days per week in our Guildford Head Office, and 2 days from home. We will offer a competitive base salary of between £25,000 to £28,000, a bonus scheme to incentivise the growth of our talent pool and the potential of an EO Annual bonus dependent on company success. Outside of this we also offer a range of company benefits.
