A globally recognised IT services and consulting organisation is seeking an experienced HR Director for a 6-month contract supporting a large, complex UK business unit. Reporting to the UK HR Director, you will shape and lead the people agenda across workforce strategy, talent management, transformation, and senior stakeholder engagement.
The Essentials
- Based in or around the West Midlands β minimum 3 days per week on-site in Telford (non-negotiable)
- 3β5 years demonstrable HRD or People Director experience
- Proven experience managing a workforce of 2,000+ employees
- Senior HRBP candidates with strong, relevant experience will be considered

- Strategic workforce planning aligned to business and client demand
- Talent attraction, retention, and succession planning
- Culture, morale, and employee engagement across a hybrid workforce
- Complex ER and industrial relations, including trade unions
- Leadership coaching and influencing at senior level
- DEI strategy and implementation
- People analytics and data-driven decision making
- HR partnership on client bids, transitions, and restructures
What You'll Bring
- Senior HR leadership background in a large, matrixed organisation β IT services or consulting preferred
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to connect people strategy to business outcomes
- Proven track record in transformation, workforce planning, and complex ER
- Public sector or regulated environment experience is advantageous
- BPSS clearance eligibility required
