Please note: Due to the nature of the project, successful applicants will be required to be SC cleared prior to appointment. This is a mainly remote role but requires someone local to Telford, who can travel occasionally and on short notice (due to escalations / support).
My client is a global IT consultancy. They are seeking an experienced Oracle 11g Database Administrator to join a structured production support team responsible for maintaining business critical systems operating within a 24 by 7 live service environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide production support for Oracle 11g databases within a 24 by 7 live service environment
- Diagnose and resolve incidents, including priority and major incidents
- Perform database performance tuning and optimisation
- Manage RMAN backup and recovery processes
- Support Data Guard and disaster recovery arrangements
- Implement database changes through controlled change management processes
- Apply security patches and maintain compliance standards
- Produce and maintain operational documentation and support runbooks
- Strong hands on experience supporting Oracle 11g in a 24 by 7 production environment
