Security Incident Management Analyst - SC Cleared

Location: Inverness or Preston - 5 days onsite

Rate: £500-£550 per day

Contract: Until April 2027 with potential extension

IR35: Inside IR35 - PAYE via Umbrella

Clearance: Active SC Clearance required

Nationality: Sole UK National

We are looking for experienced Security Incident Management Analysts to join a major programme operating within a complex, multi-supplier environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in cyber security, service management, incident management or operational governance who is confident coordinating suppliers, tracking security incidents and ensuring effective governance, reporting and audit compliance.

Please note: This is not a hands-on SOC, threat hunting or technical incident response role. The focus is on security incident governance, coordination, reporting and assurance.

The Role

Working within an Operational Integrator function in a SIAM/multi-supplier environment, you will help ensure security incidents are effectively tracked, escalated, reported and governed in line with agreed policies and service levels. You will work closely with suppliers, service management teams and security stakeholders, providing visibility of incidents throughout their life cycle and ensuring records and supporting evidence remain accurate and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Track security incidents from initial identification through to closure
• Ensure suppliers maintain accurate and up-to-date incident records
• Coordinate with multiple suppliers to obtain incident updates and status reports
• Escalate overdue, recurring or high-impact security incidents
• Monitor incident volumes, resolution performance and SLA compliance
• Produce regular security incident reports, dashboards and management information
• Identify trends in incidents and escalations
• Support security and service governance forums
• Ensure consistent incident data and reporting standards across suppliers
• Identify gaps in incident ownership, reporting or supporting evidence
• Support compliance with agreed security incident management processes
• Ensure supplier activity aligns with relevant security policies and standards
• Assist with lessons learned and continual improvement activities
• Maintain incident governance documentation
• Collect and organise evidence for assurance and audit activities
• Ensure incident records are complete, traceable and audit-ready

You should also have:

• Good understanding of security incident management processes
• Awareness of incident severity classifications and escalation procedures
• Understanding of major incident management principles
• Strong reporting and organisational skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple suppliers and stakeholders simultaneously

Desirable Experience

• Experience working within a SIAM or multi-supplier environment
• ITIL Incident Management knowledge
• Familiarity with incident management tooling and reporting
• Previous experience within government, defence or another regulated environment

Security Requirements

Due to the nature of the programme, applicants must already hold active SC Clearance and be a sole UK national. Candidates must also not have spent more than 28 consecutive days outside the UK during the last five years. Successful candidates will be required to complete relevant pre-employment screening.
