Release Manager - Circa £450 per day. Inside IR35 - Remote - 1-3 months (cover whilst recruiting permanent).

Please note: Due to the nature of the project, successful applicants will be required to be SC cleared prior to appointment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environment Management: Maintain and manage development, test, training and production environments to ensure consistency and reliability. Configure and optimise infrastructure to support efficient development and testing activities. Collaborate with development and operations teams to resolve environment-related issues.
  • Release Management: Define and implement release management processes and governance. Plan and coordinate release schedules to minimise disruption and maximise system availability. Work closely with development teams to automate deployments and enable CI/CD pipelines.
  • DevOps Implementation: Champion DevOps practices, fostering collaboration between development and operations teams. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Copado, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar. Monitor and optimise system performance, reliability, and scalability. Enforce best practices in version control, code quality, and security. Support cloud deployments across Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Heroku environments.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Act as a liaison between development, QA, and operations teams. Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations around releases. Provide regular updates on release status, environment health, and performance metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends in DevOps, Salesforce, and release management. Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and system reliability. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience in environment and release management within Salesforce ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Copado, Gearset, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Experience with Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Heroku environments.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud deployments and containerisation technologies.

This temporary contract is inside IR35 and will require working under the direction of the client delivery manager as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will follow established delivery processes and working practices. This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and be eligible for UK Security Vetting at SC/DV level. Clearance sponsorship will be provided where required. Due to the nature of the work, candidates should meet the relevant residency requirements. If applicable, reserved post nationality restrictions will be confirmed by the client.
