SC clearable Network Engineer – Hybrid Farnborough – £60 -65k base salary plus benefits

Our client who is a leading provider of secure digital solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer.

To obtain security clearance you will need to have lived in the UK for the last 5 years with no more than 1 month out of the country at a time.

Do you want to work in an organisation working on the latest technologies and incorporating solutions in an innovative way?

Are you ready to learn about Secure by Design methodologies from a company working in National Security & Defence?

Do you feel as comfortable building and supporting production LANs as you do global WANs?

Can you implement firewall rules from an application’s bespoke requirements?

Are you a tinkerer able to lab and POC new technologies whilst also able to be a CLI-jockey?

Essential Skills:

Implementation and Support of;

  • Wide Area Network Architecture
  • Network Routing Protocols – OSPF, BGP
  • Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and Network Security Infrastructure – e.g. IKEv2, NGFWs
  • Creating configuration guides and implementing from High Level and Low Level Designs

Desirable Skills:

Implementation and Support of;

  • Data Centre Network Architecture – Spine/Leaf Fabric, EVPN, BGP, Geneve
  • High Assurance IP Encryptors (HAIPE)
  • Infrastructure Automation and Orchestration technologies (e.g. Ansible, Terraform etc.)
  • Whitebox Network Infrastructure (e.g. Mellanox, Cumulus Linux, Nvidia Networking)
  • Support and Troubleshooting of NSX
  • Cisco CCNP or equivalent experience
