IAM Solution Architect - 6 months - £600-£700 per day inside ir35 (depending on experience) - Reading (Hybrid) Please note: Due to the nature of the project, successful applicants will be required to be SC cleared prior to appointment.
The Solution Architect (IAM) is responsible for safeguarding organisational resources by defining and implementing secure, scalable, and user-friendly IAM solutions.
Operating under the Product Owner (IAM) and in close collaboration with delivery, architecture, and security teams, this role ensures that IAM solutions meet business goals while maintaining compliance and security.
The Solution Architect (IAM) will define IAM solutions, including authentication, authorisation, identity governance, and access controls, which ensure compliance with industry standards and organisational security policies.
Accountabilities include (but are not limited to): Design and evolve the architecture for IAM solutions, ensuring they align with business goals and IT strategies.
Establish and enforce IAM policies, standards, and procedures to ensure secure and consistent access management.
Ensure seamless integration of IAM solutions with existing systems, applications, APIs, and third-party tools.
Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and resources from unauthorised access.
Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in IAM systems and develop mitigation strategies.
Design scalable IAM systems to meet the organisation's growth and evolving access requirements.
Provide hands-on architectural guidance to engineering and operations teams during design, build, and deployment phases.
Participate in incident response and problem resolution related to architecture-level IAM-related incidents, such as unauthorised access or compromised credentials, ensuring root causes are addressed in future designs.
Act as a key liaison between Product Owners, Technical Leads, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Architects to ensure IAM solutions address functional and non-functional requirements.
Update on emerging IAM trends, technologies, and best practices (e. g., Zero Trust, passwordless authentication).
Create and maintain documentation for solution designs, technical standards, and best practices to share knowledge with team members and stakeholders.
Objectives Design robust authentication and authorisation mechanisms to protect sensitive data and resources.
Move towards a Zero Trust security model by continuously verifying user identities and access permissions.
This temporary contract is inside IR35 and will require working under the direction of the client delivery manager as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The successful candidate will follow established delivery processes and working practices.
This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and be eligible for UK Security Vetting at SC/DV level.
Clearance sponsorship will be provided where required.
